With Step 1 now pass/fail, Step 2 CK is the USMLE score residency programs actually read. The passing standard rose to 218 for examinees testing on or after July 1, 2025, and competitive specialties look well beyond it. This is the exam where your preparation shows up directly in your application.
Step 2 CK rewards clinical reasoning rather than recall — reading a presentation, weighing what matters, and choosing the next step under time pressure. Our five-week course drills exactly that: case-based lectures, two practice exams, weekly tutoring, and test-taking strategy workshops focused on pacing and elimination. It suits students whose knowledge is sound but whose exam performance does not yet reflect it, and those who need a structured schedule after months of fragmented study during rotations.
From Recall to Clinical Reasoning
Step 2 CK does not reward knowing more facts; it rewards choosing the right next step. The same top-down framework carries over, anchoring on normal and identifying the deviation, but here it is applied to vignettes under time pressure. We drill the reading itself: what in a presentation is signal, what is noise, and how to commit to an answer and move on.
Structure After Months Without Any
Most students reach Step 2 CK with their study habits fractured by clinical rotations. Our sessions put you back on a fixed schedule with people in the same position, which is often the single biggest change students report. Comparing reasoning out loud with peers exposes the gaps that solo question banks hide.
We offer a more individualized experience and one-on-one attention with our programs. All of our onsite programs offer weekly tutoring, an assigned tutor to watch over your progress, and three very caring instructors.
We do not provide any documents for a visa other than a border letter. Border letters are provided only upon payment for the program. For proper documentation for the program, we advise that you consult your local consulate.
Yes, we can. We recommend that students who have had failed attempts attend our live lecture program instead of our online programs.
PASS Program is here to help you master medical information, not just memorize it!
